On May 24, 2018, the “13th Asian Pallet System Federation Conference” hosted by the Asian Pallet System Federation (APSF) and undertaken by the China IOT Pallet Committee was successfully held in Guangzhou. More than 200 representatives from more than 110 pallet manufacturers, pallet users, pallet machinery manufacturers, pallet leasing companies, government agencies, colleges and universities, and research institutions from China, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar, India and other countries gathered in Yangcheng to conduct in-depth exchanges on the development, use, operation, technology, standards, and future development trends of the pallet industry at home and abroad. Wu Qingyi, the rotating chairman of the Asian Pallet System Alliance and director of the Pallet Committee of the China Federation of Things, Xu Binglun, president of the Korea Pallet and Container Association, Yamazaki Kazuhiko, president of the Japan Pallet Association, and Sirin Limpaitoon, president of China Merchants Loscam, delivered opening speeches for the conference. The meeting was chaired by Ma Zengrong, executive deputy director of the Pallet Committee of the China Federation of Things, and Yan Zaijun, secretary-general of the Asian Pallet System Alliance.
According to regulations, Japan will serve as the APSF rotating country in 2019. After the election, Kazuhiko Yamazaki, president of the Japan Pallet Association, was elected as the new rotating president of APSF. All the representatives present congratulated Kazuhiko Yamazaki. Kazuhiko Yamazaki also thanked everyone for their trust in him. He was elected as the next president. He also expressed his determination to work hard for the better development of APSF.
During the meeting, the book donation ceremony of “APSF 10th Anniversary Album” was held. Yan Zaijun, secretary-general of the Asian Pallet System Alliance, Wu Qingyi, the rotating chairman of the Asian Pallet System Alliance and director of the Pallet Committee of the China Federation of Things, Xu Binglun, president of the Korea Pallet and Container Association, and Yamazaki Kazuhiko, president of the Japan Pallet Association, presented books to the leaders and representatives of the member countries, the consultant and deputy director of the Pallet Committee of the China Federation of Things, and the vice chairman of the China Region of the Asia Pallet System Alliance.
On May 25, some representatives visited Guangdong Weihong Plastic Co., Ltd. Secretary Wang Quansheng, Director Zheng Xichao and others extended a warm welcome to everyone. After visiting the factory area, the representatives interacted with the relevant person in charge of the company on the problems encountered during the visit, and the relevant person in charge answered the representatives’ questions one by one.
The 13th Asian Pallet System Alliance Conference was held concurrently with the 9th Guangzhou Logistics Equipment and Technology Exhibition in 2018. The pallet exhibition area was set up in the exhibition to provide more publicity and exchange platforms for enterprises.
