The 15th China Pallet International Conference and 2020 Global Pallet Entrepreneurs Annual Meeting was held in Changsha, Hunan Province from 25 to 27 November 2020, hosted by China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) and organized by CFLP Pallet Professional Committee.
The conference site gathered foreign permanent Chinese representatives from Japan, Korea, Latvia, Belarus and New Zealand, and representatives from Germany, Denmark, Australia, Malaysia, Spain, Ukraine, Finland, UK, Sweden, Chile and other countries and regions participated in the conference by way of link. At the same time, the conference gathered elites from domestic pallet manufacturers, pallet users, pallet machinery manufacturers, pallet leasing companies, raw material suppliers, equipment companies, government agencies, research units, universities and colleges, etc. More than 500 representatives from more than 300 companies attended the conference.
Mr. Cai Jin, Vice President of China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, Mr. Yin Guojie, President of Hunan Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, Mr. Robert HOLLIGER, Chairman of EPAL, Ms. Naomi Kano, Chairman of Aisa Pallet System Federation and Chairman of Japan Pallet Association, and Mr. Byong-Yoon, SUH, Chairman of Korea Pallet & Container Association (KPCA) delivered opening ceremony for the conference respectively. During the conference, 36 speakers from home and abroad analysed the new situation and changes in the pallet industry at home and abroad and discussed the new trends for the future high-quality development of the pallet industry, based on the conference theme of “Standards, Sharing, Links and Cooperation”. This conference provides an important platform for the pallet industry, enterprises and units to take stock of the whole year, analyse the future and learn and exchange.
To better promote international exchange and cooperation and pallet sharing, the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) and the European Pallet Association (EPAL) jointly launched the Belt and Road Action of Pallet Sharing (BRAPS) during the conference. Mr. Ma Zeng Rong, Assistant to the President of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) and Mr. Robert, Chairman of EPAL, made speeches on behalf of both parties and released the BRAPS initiative, sincerely inviting relevant organisations from different countries to participate in BRAPS.
During the meeting, a signing ceremony was held for the “Cooperation Agreement on Smart Logistics Platform Project”, “Cooperation Agreement on Marketing and Promotion of New Environmental Protection Material Pallets”, “Authorisation Agreement on National Promotion of National Smart Logistics Platform”, “Authorisation Agreement on Production Technology of New Environmental Protection Material” and “Strategic Framework for School-Enterprise Cooperation in Industry-Education Integration”, and a ceremony was held for “Huaqiao Town of Wuhu County – the first town of pallets in China”. The signing ceremony was also held for “Huaqiao Town of Wuhu County – the first town of pallets in China”.
At the same time, the conference held an exhibition of “new pallet products, materials and technologies”. In 61 booths of 50 exhibitors, the exhibitors showed the leading pallet products, technologies and services at home and abroad.
