On November 22-23, 2018, the 13th China International Conference on Pallets and 2018 Annual Meeting of Global Pallet Entrepreneurs, jointly organized by China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and Department of Commerce of Shandong Province and undertaken by Jinan Municipal Bureau of Commerce and CFLP Pallet Professional Committee, was held in Jinan, Shandong Province.
Over 650 representatives from more than 400 pallet manufacturers, pallet user enterprises, pallet machinery manufacturing enterprises, pallet leasing enterprises, government agencies, universities, colleges and research units from China, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Latvia, Spain, Ukraine, Finland, New Zealand, Australia, the United States and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan gathered in Jinan.
Mr. Wang Hongping, Deputy Director of the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, Mr. Sun Bin, Vice Mayor of Jinan Municipal Government, Mr. Cai Jin, Vice President of China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, Mr. Wu Qingyi, Director of Pallet Professional Committee of China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, Mr. Robert HOLLIGER, Chairman of EPAL, Mr. Byong-Yoon SUH, Chairman of Korea Pallet & Container Association, Ms. Kano Naomi, Vice president of Japan Material Handling Society, Mr. Masahiro Ijich, Vice President of Japan Pallet Association , delivered the opening speeches for the conference. During the conference, 37 speakers from home and abroad exchanged and interacted with each other on the development, use, operation and technology of the pallet industry under the conference theme of “Standards, Sharing, Links and Cooperation”. In order to strengthen the upstream and downstream supply chain construction of the pallet industry and provide high-quality raw materials for pallet manufacturers, a forum on “Analysis of raw materials for pallets” was added to the event to exchange and discuss how high-quality raw materials can contribute to the high-quality development of the pallet industry. The conference provides an important platform for enterprises and units in the pallet industry to take stock of the whole year, analyse the future and learn from each other.
In order to strengthen the cooperation between domestic and foreign pallet enterprises; to establish the “China Logistics Pallet Index”, which accurately reflects the changing trend of the pallet industry and provides a reference basis for the majority of pallet enterprises; to strengthen the cooperation between schools and enterprises and cultivate excellent and innovative pallet talents, LogisALL and Shandong Province Standard Pallet (Crate) Recycling Union, China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing Pallet Professional Committee and Wuhu Green Wooden Packaging Chamber of Commerce, Dalian Maritime University and Liaoning Zhongtai Industrial Group .
At the same time, an exhibition on “New pallet products, materials and technologies” was held. At the booths of 25 exhibitors, the exhibitors presented the leading pallet products, technologies and services at home and abroad.
